To ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability, firmware updates are released regularly. This policy outlines the importance of maintaining updated firmware and the responsibilities regarding installation, updates, and overall device care.

They fix bugs and software glitches that may impact device stability or ECG measurement accuracy. Enhancements often result in better battery efficiency, faster data processing, and smoother communication between the device and the TeltoHeart mobile app. Regular updates reduce the risk of unexpected malfunctions, keeping your heart monitoring consistent.

With each firmware update, new tools and functionalities may be introduced to enhance your TeltoHeart experience. Updates can provide more advanced measurement options, allowing for greater accuracy in arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation detection. They may also improve compatibility with the latest smartphones and the Teltoheart mobile app. Staying up to date ensures your device remains aligned with evolving medical device standards and technologies.

📱 Firmware Update Guidelines

TeltoHeart firmware is delivered as an over-the-air (OTA) update via Bluetooth®, initiated directly through the TeltoHeart mobile app. To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted update, we recommend following these guidelines before starting an update.

⚠️ Note: Do not close the Teltoheart app, disable Bluetooth®, or move out of range of your phone while a firmware update is in progress. Interrupting the update may require re-attempting the process or, in rare cases, contacting support.

Battery Level

Ensure TeltoHeart has at least 50% battery charge before starting an update, to avoid interruption partway through the process.

Stable Connection

Keep TeltoHeart within close range (under 1 meter) of your phone throughout the update, and ensure Bluetooth® remains enabled and uninterrupted.

App Up to Date

Make sure the TeltoHeart mobile app is updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play before initiating a firmware update.

Stay Still

Remain stationary and avoid removing the device during the update, as motion or removal can interrupt the Bluetooth® connection.

✅ Post-Update Verification

After the update completes, perform a quick check within the TeltoHeart mobile app:

• Confirm the app displays the new firmware version under Device Info.
• Take a test ECG measurement to verify normal data flow and readings.
• Ensure previously saved settings and preferences remain intact.

🩺 Proper Device Care

Proper wear, charging, and storage of your TeltoHeart device are key to ensuring its longevity and preventing hardware issues. The following guidelines outline the requirements for caring for your device.

• Wear the device securely as instructed in the user manual. Avoid excessive strain, bending, or dropping of the device.
• Keep the charging contacts clean and dry, and use only the provided charging cable/dock to avoid connection issues or hardware damage.
• Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, or submersion beyond its rated protection level.
• Store the device in a safe, dry place when not in use, and charge it periodically even during extended storage.

Teltonika Telemedic UAB is not responsible for any performance issues or malfunctions that result from the failure to update firmware regularly. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their device is running the most up-to-date firmware version to maintain optimal device performance.

Support for devices running outdated firmware may be limited or unavailable. In such cases, users may need to update their firmware before receiving full support services.

Teltonika Telemedic UAB strives to deliver high-quality, reliable firmware updates for all products. Minor bugs or imperfections that do not substantially affect the overall performance, functionality, or security of the product do not warrant claims for refunds, compensation, or damages. In the event of any critical issues or those affecting product performance, we will take appropriate measures to provide fixes or updates through future firmware releases.

Users are encouraged to regularly update their device to ensure the best possible performance and to report any significant issues to our technical support team for prompt attention.

Firmware and its updates are the intellectual property of Teltonika Telemedic UAB and protected under copyright law. Copying and distribution of the firmware and its updates outside Teltonika Telemedic UAB products is an infringement of copyright and is subject to liability. Users also shall not, and shall not permit any third party to, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying algorithms, or structure of any firmware. This prohibition includes but is not limited to any efforts to modify, adapt, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit the firmware in a manner not expressly authorized by Teltonika Telemedic UAB.
